Wonderful Items @ Wonderful Prices

I love it when you are shopping, but not really to buy anything, merely to just window shop, and you come across wonderful items at wonderful prices. Like these shoes I found at one of my favorite stores. I was simply browsing when I came upon them....and they were only $5. They are one of my favorite things at the moment.

My Steamer Trunk

When I was a little girl my favorite toy was my Samantha Doll. Samantha came with a small (doll size) steamer trunk in which you could store all her clothing and accessories. It has been one of my life goals to get my own (life size) steamer trunk...a life goal that has just come true. Micah and I were antique shopping last winter when we found this. I instantly fell in love with it, but me being the tight purse that I am, decided against buying it. It only took Micah a few weeks to secretly buy it for my birthday.

Year 2

It was 2 years ago that Micah and I were married. So this year, to celebrate, we went to one of our favorite little restaurants in one of our favorite little town. We drove around the Flathead Lake to a little town called Woods Bay and there we ate at the Raven. It's small, but it's right on the lake. So we sat on the patio, watched the sunset, felt the warm summer breeze, and ate Pad Thai and Fish Tacos. And as an extra bonus......$2 Margaritas.

welcome to me

I guess it is about time that I embrace this. After much mental debating on my part I have joined the world of bloggers. I will try to make this transition as easy as possible for me (meaning that I am just going to jump right into my first blog without the whole formal introduction of who I am). So here it goes.....
So, why did I chose the name Wuthering Iris? Well, basically because my real name was already taken (I'm not too creative when it comes to those types of things). I simply looked over to my left and saw my beautiful potted orchid sitting on my nightstand. So I though "Hey, why not use a flower in my blog name." Then I chose a word that has some meaning to me, a word that constantly comes into my brain (for reasons I will not disclose here). And there I had it. Wuthering Iris.
