On The Road
One leg of the journey down... One more to go.
One more 9 hour leg of the drive to go! I forget how far it is.
But at least the view was beautiful.
And thanks to modern technology, I am able to spend the time...
1. Instagraming
2. Playing "Words with Friends"
3. Listening to the audio book "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest"

Current Crush - Vacation
Micah and I are FINALLY going on a vacation.
(I am physically jumping up and down with excitement)
Today we are making the long 20 hour drive to Nebraska
to have some much needed vacation and family time... and I'm so excited.
I very literally plan on lounging around, relaxing and having fun with family,
and most importantly, doing absolutely no work.
I'm so ready for this.
So keep an eye out on my blog for some
Nebraska Farm Vacation updates!

Margarita
One of my favorite things about summer-time here in Montana,
is all the warm afternoons spend on our sailboat...
sipping margaritas and flowing with the breeze.
Ahhhh, I'm dreaming of it right now.
Here is my simple Margarita recipe
that's not too sweet and not too sour, but just perfect.
Margarita
1 1/2 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. triple sec
juice of 1/2 fresh lime
1. Simply mix together and pour over ice.
2. No blending necessary... it's perfect just the way it is.

Minimalistic Disney
So, my obsession with all things Disney has continued into my adulthood.
I thought maybe it would just be a kid/adolescent thing...but no.
I still love me some Disney.
And I'm not gonna lie, I am pretty sure when Micah and I finally adopt,
and we get to take our child to Disneyland for the first time...
I will be more excited than anyone.
Hence the reason for this post.
I LOVE these minimalistic Disney posters
created by Rowan Stocks-Moore.
(Peter Pan is my favorite!)

Celebrating
Yesterday was a big day.
Yesterday was spent celebrating God's goodness and provision.
After years of praying, God not only provided the money
for YWAM to finally build a much needed brand new building...
but over time, has also provided brand new vision
and ministries that are coming out of that new building.
So yesterday, I spent the whole day (and pretty much all last week)
decorating our new building to hold a celebration dinner for apx 230 people.

Italian Tomato Soup
I think it's pretty safe to say that we are in the rainy season here in Montana
(or at least NW Montana). Thats a good thing for a few reasons...
1. We need the rain to keep the forest fires away.
I don't want another scare that my house will burn down
like I had a few years back.
2. It's great for my garden that is starting to grow
(I'll be posting pictures soon!).
3. A rainy day calls for soup...
And this soup is AMAZING! Micah, who does not like tomatoes,
said it was amazing...and that in itself is amazing (to say the least).
So if it's raining where you are today,
or if you are just craving soup,
then run to your grocer and buy these ingredients.
You won't be sorry.
Italian Tomato Soup
Via: Tammy Weaver
1 cup sauteed baby bella mushrooms, finely chopped
1 cup half & half cream
1 can Campbells tomato soup (I never ever actually use this stuff, but in this soup it is great)
1 can Italian diced tomatoes
1 cup half & half cream
1 can Campbells tomato soup (I never ever actually use this stuff, but in this soup it is great)
1 can Italian diced tomatoes
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1. Saute the mushrooms in 2 tsbp butter until they are soft.
2. Season the mushrooms with salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. Season to taste if needed.
3. Once the mushrooms are soft, add the tomato soup, diced tomatoes, and half & half. Then with a blending stick (hand puree) blend the soup until it is to the consistency that you like (the soup is good smooth or with some chunks).
4. Let simmer till heated through.
5. Serve and enjoy!

Current Crush: Garden
It's no surprise that I like love to garden.
And as Spring turns into Summer, gardening seems to be consuming my mind.
Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
So here are a few items that I am loving at the moment.
Every gardener has to have the perfect summer outfit, right? I knew you would agree.
And the perfect gardening and preserving essentials... that's a must.

Cutting Board
Both Micah and I have been on the hunt
for a good cutting board for quite some time now.
We have the usual plastic kitchen cutting boards,
but there is just something so rustic yet lovely
about a thick wood cutting board.
Which is why I am LOVING these from Terrain.

The Great Gatsby
I really feel like the only appropriate words
to express what I feel right now is...
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!
There, that just about does it.
Just kidding... I could talk forever about this.
Why?
1. Because I LOVE this book!
I've read it a bazillion times.
2. I LOVE Baz Lhurman movies.
3. I LOVE Leo Dicaprio.
Yes, celebrity crush since 1996
...almost 20 years

My Summer List
I thought it would be a good time to make a Summer To Do list.
Because, here in Montana, summer tends to just fly right by
without you even getting a chance to fully enjoy it.
So here are the fun things on my Summer list:
1. Paint the kitchen, living room, and entry way.
(not looking forward to that but excited about the results)
2. Visit the you-pick Cherry Farms.
3. Huckleberry Picking.
4. Camping (and lots of it).
5. Perfect the perfect BBQ rib recipe.
(that's more Micah's job since he's the grilling man)
6. Start using my Ice Cream maker again.
(and start making all the ice cream recipes I have been collecting)
7. Plan a big 4th of July Party.
8. Find a good summer Novel and read it.
(any suggestions?)
9. Grow our garden and preserve/can what we need for the winter.

Pie Set
Pies are one of my favorite things.
I am the type of person that would choose pie over cake any day.
Actually, one of the original ideas Micah and I had for our wedding reception was to serve a bunch of different pies for the guests instead of the traditional wedding cake. (I don't know why we abandoned that idea...it would have been awesome)
Anyways, speaking of Pies...
I am loving this pie set from Brook Farm General Store.
Many sizes for different types of pies...
that would make cooking so much easier.

Confessions Time
This fun post is from a blog called His Little Lady.
I first read it over there and thought how fun it would be
to have a confession time on my blog too!
So here it goes...
1. I hate to do the same thing twice...
unless it's a holiday tradition.
unless it's a holiday tradition.
2. I DVR and watch probably 20 current TV shows
(please don't make me list them, it's embarrassing).
3. On that note, I get really attached
to characters of these said TV shows,
to characters of these said TV shows,
and when the show is canceled without closure
(ie. Pan Am and Ringer.... grrrrrr), I get very upset.
4. I'm a vitamin addict. Between Micah and I,
we take about 11 different vitamins a day.
(Thanks Mom for setting that good example)
5. When I wake up, the first thing I do
is check the weather on my phone...
is check the weather on my phone...
then I check instagram.

Dirtsa Studio
Many of you might know this already,
but both Micah and I work for a Missionary Organization (YWAM).
Because of that we find ourselves all over the place.
When I first saw this chalkboard map by Dirtsa Studio,
I instantly thought of how fun it would be to color
all the countries we have been able to visit
and all the states we constantly find ourselves traveling to.

Micah and I are currently looking at traveling overseas again.
Such an exciting thought for us!
I'll keep you all posted on any definite plans.

From A to Z
I have party planning on my mind.
I already have two parties in the month of June to plan for.
I LOVE IT!
One of the parties is a baby shower
for my dear friend Ruthie...
Which makes me think how cute and perfect
these Magpie paper products would be for a baby shower.

Jute Bottle DIY
I have a great DIY to brighten up your Monday!
This DIY is so simple you will want to run straight to Costco,
purchase a case of San Pellegrino, drink the whole case, and begin crafting.
(I don't recommend drinking the whole case unless you want to make yourself sick... I'm just saying).
I first noticed these bottles on the cover of this months Better Homes and Gardens
and I thought to myself: "I can totally do that!"...
So I did... and now I'm sharing it with you.
What do you need and what do you do?
